Lenovo ThinkPad X1 could be the world’s first foldable PC

With foldable phones already in the market, foldable computers are also not far away. Smartphone and PC maker Lenovo unveiled a preview of its ThinkPad X1 that is likely to be the first PC in the foldable category.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is neither a phone, tablet, or hybrid, it is being called as a full-fledged laptop, with a foldable screen. As the official release notes, the idea behind a foldable display laptop is to provide users with a larger screen, while maintaining the compact nature of a laptop.

The foldable PC features an LG-made OLED 2K display that folds in half. The Intel and Windows-powered Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is scheduled to be available in 2020.
